Here’s a new illustration for Tor’s web story Fare The Well by Cathy Clamp. It’s a really fun read that lead to a very enjoyable project. And as I’ve mentioned before, it’ always such a pleasure to work with Irene Gallo.

Washington Post’s Kristin Lenz came to me with a true dream job… an illustration for the book review on Guy Gavriel Kay’s Under Heaven. Had a lot of fun with this one.

Although the blog has been quiet for a while, the studio has been the complete opposite, all thanks to THE Man. On the good side, some of the jobs I have been working on the past few months are now reaching completion and publication, hence, I’ll be posting some new work.
I really enjoy working with Paola Bettinelli from The Work Style Magazine. Their projects require a lot of visual problem solving, making them anything but dull. Here is the latest piece.

A week or two ago, I was approached by Art Director John Dixon from Village Voice about a cover illustration on HBO’s Treme. John is a great art director that knows what the project needs and can communicate so in a very effective manner. Due to his abilities, the project moved as quickly as it did pleasantly. Here is the final piece and its respective layout.

A few weeks ago, I finished this piece as a poster for Textfyre’s new text-based game. They are currently working on their second game with some art thrown into the equation to really spice things up. They’re unto something there.

The foreground is all special black ink, which was pushed on me by a colleague about two years ago, and I’ve been addicted ever since. The gears in the background, on the other hand, had to undergo some serious illustrator and photoshop surgery.

Just a few days ago I was contacted by The Work Style Magazine from Milan. They had a tight deadline that quickly turned into this really fun project. I have to say, I love these tight deadlines in editorial. There’s no time to get bored with the projects and, in this case, the timezone difference made it all the livelier.

Tourists is now up in Tor.com. Check it out. Many thanks to Irene Gallo who choose me for the outrageous and bizarre story that provoked this. It’s always an enormous pleasure to work with her.

After a few silent months, the new Site is finally up. Some news come in hand. I’m thrilled to say that, as of January, I am under Richard Solomon’s representation. I cannot stress enough what an honor this is. Richard’s experience and knowledge of this biz is difficult to top. Needless to say, I am very excited.

A few new works have been posted in the portfolio section. Take a look…
